Making The Beaded Mushroom Necklace

Making The Beaded Mushroom Necklace

This necklace is a combination of metal work, as I first made the frame, and bead work.

I first start with a sketch (not pictured), then I cut and shape the wire, and is ready to be soldered.

Once everything is soldered, we can pickle it to begin the cleaning process. You can see the sketch I mentioned earlier.

Once cleaned, I hammered the frame to give it a nice rustic texture.

I start the beading process in small areas.

Then filled in the large area.

All done! Now is ready for the chain.

Since this is a statement pendant, I chose a 23-inch continuous chain. No clasps to worry about!

Here you can see how it looks wearing it.

In this case, the chain is gold plated stainless steel.
You can buy the necklace following this link

And the mushroom earrings (pictured earlier in the making process) here.
